Nestled in the vibrant heart of Brooklyn, Georgian 1 Bakery is a delightful sanctuary for lovers of authentic Georgian cuisine and freshly baked goods. This bakery offers a tempting array of traditional Georgian dishes that richly celebrate its culinary heritage, making it a must-visit spot for those seeking bold flavors and hearty, comforting meals.
At the center of its menu lies the famed Acharuli Khachapuri – a luscious cheese bread crowned with a perfectly cooked egg, oozing melted cheese and buttery dough that comes sizzling hot from the oven. This signature dish alone is enough to captivate your taste buds with its enchanting blend of creamy richness and freshly baked warmth. But the offerings don’t stop there. The bakery boasts a variety of mouthwatering selections such as Khinkali – oversized, hand-rolled Georgian dumplings bursting with juicy meat and herbs – and Pakhlava, a sweet and flaky pastry that concludes your meal with a satisfying hint of honey and nuts.
For those seeking savory delights, Georgian 1 Bakery serves traditional grilled skewers like Pork Mtsvadi and Chicken Mtsvadi, perfectly charred and tender, infused with the smoky essence of an authentic Georgian barbecue. The Kababi (Lula Kebab) combines the rich flavors of beef and pork wrapped in lavashi bread, while Chicken Tabaka offers a beautifully spiced fried chicken with a golden, crispy exterior.
The bakery also excels at fresh, vibrant salads and cold dishes that add balance and variety to the meal. From the nutty, fragrant Eggplant with Walnuts to the refreshing Georgian Style Vinaigrette Salad with beets, potatoes, and beans, their vegetarian and vegan-sensitive options demonstrate a thoughtful attention to detail in catering to a range of dietary preferences.
What truly sets Georgian 1 Bakery apart is the palpable warmth and authenticity that infuses the entire dining experience. Customers frequently praise the consistently fresh, oven-hot bread and pastries that feel like a genuine labor of love. One devoted guest, Diana Gnyp, describes it as a “Georgian food paradise” with everything fresh and delicious, while others laud the friendliness of the staff and the heartfelt cooking that nourishes not just the body, but the soul.
Of course, no place is perfect — some diners have noted occasional issues such as cracked frozen khinkali or delivery mix-ups — but these seem to be exceptions in an otherwise remarkable culinary journey. The passion behind each dish and the authenticity of flavors make Georgian 1 Bakery a standout gem in Brooklyn’s diverse food scene.
Whether you're craving the iconic Khachapuri, eager to sample rich traditional salads and grilled meats, or seeking a sweet finish with churchkhela or pakhlava, Georgian 1 Bakery promises a deeply satisfying, genuine taste of Georgia’s rustic culinary traditions. This is not just food; it is a warm invitation to experience the heart of Georgian hospitality, crafted with care and bursting with flavor.

Georgian food paradise Delicious bakery food salads meats Everything is fresh just from the oven My favorite place I love it
Place makes the best baked good. The Khachapuri is always hot and delicious. If you don’t know what that is go order it and I promise you won’t regret it unless you dislike cheese or bread…or the best soft cheesy bread imaginable.
I like the store, the girls at the checkout are always friendly and welcoming, the baked goods are delicious. But unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the full taste of the khinkali because they were already all cracked when frozen and everything opened up when cooked. none of the 12 khinkali were obtained without being cut
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This place is truly number one! The food is fresh and delicious. It feels like they cook not just to serve, but to truly feed people from the heart. When you’re really hungry, this is the place you’ll never regret choosing
The food is amazing but apparently the service and customer communication is not so great. We ordered Khachapuri, salad, and a cake. We didn’t get 2 items out of 3 and instead we got some other item with a sorry note please use communication with customers, so maybe they can choose a replacement instead of being disappointed upon delivery.
